Good morning and happy November! Just 49 days until Christmas!!!! Over the next 2 weeks, we will have a holiday schedule printed for you, and I want to encourage you as much as possible to pray and to participate in all events, services, and outreaches. Next Sunday, we will highlight our church FOOD PANTRY sharing testimonies and blessings about this great ministry!
One such outreach for you to participate in this month will be our pre-thanksgiving dinner for those in our community who are in need. On November 23rd at 5 p.m., we will open our gates and begin to serve the needy in our community! We will serve until 6:30 p.m., followed by our Thanksgiving service beginning at 7 p.m. WE need help and volunteers for this night. If you would be willing to help serve, please sign up at the Welcome Center today!
Urban Impact also needs volunteers to help serve meals and to witness to local immigrants as they share in their “first” Thanksgiving meal. Speak with Larry Holcomb if you can help. Our weekly Food Pantry is also in need of volunteers. Please speak with Dave Tinsley if interested in helping.
We will be receiving our “THANKSGIVING OFFERING” on Sunday November 27th. This year, our project is to build a new food pantry shed in our church yard. The total cost is $5,000. Please pray about giving to this needy project. Use a Thanksgiving offering envelope or mark your envelope to say “Thanksgiving offering.”
